Sirius Weather on a Garmin

I have used SiriusXm Weather on my Garmin 547 chartplotter for a few years with varying levels of anger and frustration with the forcasts provided by Sirius. In a recent email, Sirius told me there there is a "glitch" in the garmin unit I use which causes inaccurate weather forcasts.
Anyone have experience with this issue?

Love to hear their reasoning on that. Sounds like the Buffalo Shuffle to me.

I tend to agree! Meanwhile Sirius charges $55/month for the "Offshore" package!

I'm looking into this service. Is there any support for the service you can contact? Obviously this is deserving of a refund. Has it ever worked correctly? I am thinking of buying a unit myself but would love to hear first hand how she worked when she worked correctly. Good luck.

Its a satellite driven service, so its a great idea if you do not have wi-fi or internet service. It's also expensive at $55/month for the "Offshore" package. The graphics display integrates with my routing on my Garmin, so thats a plus also. The big question is whether or not the data is any good. If you only have the "Coastal" package, Sirius will tell you thats not enough for weather detail in the Bahamas. Heck,Bimini is only 45 miles east of Miami!
Before you spend the $800+ on the hardware, I would suggest you do a test run with someone who has Sirius first!
