Simple Siphon

I've been looking at their web site; www.simplesiphon.com and I can't believe every boat doesn't have one. they're $8.

Neat idea, but not as simple as my thumb over the end of the hose!!

yeah that thumb thang is simple, but sometimes it's tricky to dunk the whole hose and then cover the end and drag it to where you need to it drain something and get it back under water with out ever letting your thumb slip...

Yes, very effective and available in a variety of sizes. They require a fast wrist action that most single blokes would be familar with.

I have had one for years and used it to transfer fuel from 6 gallon plastic jugs to the fuel tank. No spilling on the deck, a little slow, but easy to use in a sea way. Bought mine at West.

I'm another happy Simple Siphon user. I've only used it for siphoning diesel from jerry cans, but it works great for that and is much less messy than most of the alternatives.

I hadn't seen that before and it looks like a good way to get the siphon started. It would certainly beat the occasional mouthful of diesel.
