Shipper Recommendations

I am looking for advice / recommendations for shipping and shippers for getting a 25 ft. cruising sailboat, on a trailer from Denver, CO to Birmingham, AL (roughly). Beam is 8 ft.; weight is approx. 5500 lbs. I find a lot of people who are willing to ship it, but some of their reviews are disturbingly negative.

Anybody have any advice or guidance?

Tow it there. 1300 miles. 2 days there and 2 days back. Any half ton pickup will pull 5500lbs. You can also rent a pickup if you dont have one. Check will the rental agency first. Some dont allow towing.
