I'm not sure where you got your numbers for weight.. by weight it is 1/3 the weight of 80 proof. So it would be similar in weight (still lighter) as 190 proof. It would also be much less flamable than 190 proof.
I got my quotes from the manufacturer's website. I guess they maybe wrong but I doubt it.

Re: Powdered Alcohol

Sounds like a good way to smuggle alcohol across borders...

Worst that could happen is that they think its cocaine......

I really do have high hopes for this product.. At least 1/3 the weight of liquids alcohol!
That is a fascinating video. Why does he know so much about how painful it is to snort? Or precisely how long it would take to snort one drink's worth?

Re: Powdered Alcohol

Did you watch the analysis of the product by a scientist? It has no benefits at all.

Oops, sorry wrong link, try this one.

Re: Powdered Alcohol

Yup I did watch that as well..

At this point its all speculation, but no one really knows how palcohol is being manufactured. He is speculating on what he "Thinks" is the process.

I'm not a chemicals scientist so I only understand a small amount. I think the scientist in the video above is only partially right as his numbers don't match the company numbers.

But yes.. If you want to carry 200 proof (everclear) then I'm pretty sure that is the most efficient way to carry alcohol.

Well, you could carry it without the weight. Oh, wait. It would weigh more than wet water. Hmmmm...

The Brits will appreciate this:

Because it's well known that when all the smoke leaks out, the Lucas device quits functioning.

Re: Powdered Alcohol

Put your powdered alcohol in the water tank. Fit a safety tap so the teenagers cant get it!
