We replaced ours, frames and glass complete three or four years ago. We built new frames from teak
for the insides, and ditched frames on the outside, laying the glass flush to the deck
. That way no water
gets trapped in the frames, and we still have completely watertight portlights
. We also ditched the stupid, crackly perspex, and had beautiful new windows cut from mirrored tempered glass. Beautiful - I should get a photo
The opening hatches were a different story, and did require us to make new frames - but that's beyond the scope
of this thread.
