OGM LED Nav Lights

I installed an OGM (Orca Green Marine) masthead Tri/Anchor/Strobe at the cost of almost $400. Reported to be good for 50,000 hrs. 200 hrs later, it is dead. Would not recommend to anyone. Warranty void after 3 yrs.

Thanks for the review. Even if the warranty was honored, to have to go aloft to replace it after only 200 hours isn't good.

Re: OGM LED Nav Lights

Was it older than 3 years? Did it have water in it? Was there any sign of damage?

I have heard of early complaints when they came out that some got water in theirs. However, that may have also been the hull nav lights and not the masthead ones.

We had the same one as yours for 5-6yrs without any problem until a lightning strike took it out. The replacement unit has been without problem for the past 4 years.

Both of the units are used nightly (365 nights/yr) for the anchor light, and the nav lights are used regularly through the year. The strobe has never been used other than to test it on install.

4 yrs old. No water but you can see corrosion on the dead LED's. Those that still function are barely visible when bench tested.

Replaced the unit with "Lunasea". Lifetime warranty and $100 cheaper.

Almost went with that one after the lightning strike, but we already had the mounting and switches all set up for the OGM. I mean ALMOST pulled that trigger. I think you will be happy with it.
