New Use for Prop Glop

I have an in line trasmission in my trawler which only shifts into forward after i rev the engine. After it engages it's fine. Does anybody know why the delay? Also I saw a new product release for prop glop in the Coast Guard magazine in north Florida and tried it on the chine line below the boot stripe of my trawler. So far after 2 months there is no growth of any kind. My prop remains clean so far too. Good sailing!
