I just had PPG ABC3 bottom paint recommended to me for my sailboat. Does anyone know anything about it?

I think it is also known under Ameron/Devoe ABC3.

doesn't sound very special. they make a big deal of being tbt free, but all paints sold in the usa for boats our size are tbt free; not allowed to sell it except for special purposes and to special applicators.

i've been using pettit trinidad in tropical waters for the past thirty years and haven't found anything better in a hard bottom paint.

TriButyl Tin anti fouling paints are banned by most seafaring nations and that means on all vessels, private or commercial, regardless of size, the U.S. included. In this country, the Navy plays by its own rules however.
