Mossberg Marinecote

I've seen the sales talk about how Marinecote is so great for harsh conditions. Anyone have experience with it on a boat? Is it really equal to or better than stainless for preventing corrosion, even on internal parts and inside the barrel?

Re: Mossberg Marinecote

Mine, spent two years on our Hunter out in Southern California without suffering any issues. Not really a long term test. While on the boat, it had the standard pistol grip which I don't recommend, because the gun can't be aimed properly without breaking your face.

If guns weren't an issue here in Italy, I'd still have it onboard, but probably too much trouble with the import details... besides, in this area, there's much less to worry about.
