LunaSea touch dimmer switch

I have a couple of LunaSea Ultra Thin 12" LED light strips that use a 3 level dimmer touch switch.

I love these lights, which are mounted under the side decks in the galley and main cabin, when they work. I really appreciate the ability to adjust from a nice bright flood of light to a dim background level. However the touch switches, which consist of a small module that plugs into the end of the light strip, haven't been reliable for me. They work for few weeks or months, but then tend to fail. The company has been good about sending me free replacement switches, but claim that the switches have been reliable for their other customers. I'm puzzled about that.

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone else who has experience, either good or bad, with these touch switches.
