Bob, you should know...those are only for the rich and famous! I actually love those lights. Could you buy them for me? My birthday is in May...

Yeah I know Chris... they are a tad pricey, but awfully nice.
I'm agonizing over the 3 mile ones, but they're a bit much.
The 2 mile are bad enough.

Best, Bob S/V Restless

Here's a close up of those LED bulbs from the link I posted. They seem to be encapsulated...I believe Dr. LED's are not...but these are $60 a piece...Good thing about using bulbs is that you can change them without changing the whole fixture. They have to have good voltage regulation built in though...

BTW do not put 3 Nm light on a small craft - you will make it more difficult for the other guy to judge how far off you are.

I just talked with the Luna Sea guys and they say that they will have to custom make me red and green lights with double contacts and the skegs on either side of the barrel lined up. I thought that was a pretty common base. either way when I asked them how much more it would be the guy laughed and said, "oh they are all custom make anyway, no extra charge." I thought that was pretty cool. I think I will be ordering some in the next few days. Someone has to be the guinea pig for these things.

It might be time for us to find more things for you to test.

DOH!!! Give my wallet a chance to recover, would ya?

BTW, another good thing about using LED replacement bulbs is that should the LED bulb crap out, you still have the original incandescent as a spare. You did keep your original bulb, right?
