Kudos to Garhauer Marine

We had one of their rigid boom vangs installed, partially to make the topping lift less of a necessity.

The vang works beautifully, but it doesn't have quite enough lift to handle both the flaked main and the cover.

I sent a short e-mail asking them if there is some adjustment I can make or if I should upgrade to the next size vang. I come back from our 10-day holiday cruise and find an e-mail from them asking for our mailing address. They will send two extra springs, no charge.

Great service and a great product !

That sure says a lot about a company.
Thanks for sharing it with us.

I had exactly the same experience with them, Sven. It's a family-run business, I believe.

it is a family business and they are good at it. Been using them for some time now. A quality service and product all the way.

I also had a similar experience with Garhauer. I had a set of Garhauer blocks used to raise my dinghy up to my davits that had a wear pattern on the sheeves that were made of some composite. I carried the blocks with me to the St. Petersburg boat show with plans to buy replacements. I happened to come to the Garhauer booth and asked about what selection of blocks would better suit my needs. They took my damaged blocks and gave me a free replacement set with metal sheeves. They are very high on my list!
