Inmar inflatables Reviews? Alumalight RIB?

Just wondering if anyone has heard anything good or bad about Inmar inflatables? Their aluminum 11' Rib seems well priced and light. Not much out there on them I could find.

Thanks!

Was searching for info on Inmar boats too, and saw this unanswered post. Anyone have an Inmar inflatable? Comments? Pros/cons?
Thanks

Re: Inmar inflatables Reviews? Alumalight RIB?

This is an old thread I know, but for the archives. I bought an Inmar PVC a few years ago - I was budgeting and looking for a "deal."

It was absolutely beautiful and appeared to be well constructed. Immediately it leaked at the seams and the company's response was more or less to say I am on my own as they gave me guidance on how to fix it. I was not happy with the purchase and considered it ~$1,000 of wasted money. I do not use that inflatable any more.

Thanks for posting that info. I have been considering the Inmar Hypalon RIB. They look terrific on the web. I have searched for review info, but haven't found much.

My understanding is their warranty is go get your boat fixed then get reimbursed. Ok with me as long as they come through. If course best is that the quality is such that repairs are rare.

Maybe if you lived near one of their dealers. They told me they could only pay for "repair" if it was at one of their dealers and there were none around, and shipping would be impossible. I don't know in reality how many dealers they even have. I had ordered mine online, and it was leaking on delivery. The seams and glue in inflatable boats are key, and where the cones extend are likely the most common failure. They said they tested each boat before shipping, implying that I was lying.

That's water over the darn for me, but I wouldn't recommend them based on my experience. YMMV
