induction hot plates running off inverter.

I have extra solar power at times and have used a hot plate in the past. I wanted to use a more efficient induction heater. I just purchased one from Best Buy but its not working. I was wondering if it's because my inverter is not pure sine wave. Thanks

Okay just did a Google search so for those interested you need a pure sine wave inverter to run induction hot plate:-(
