Good Rhode Island Surveyor Needed

I will be needing a surveyor in or near Rhode Island. I am looking for a good surveyor that will take the time to give a honest survey including inspection of diesel, sails, and all other systems.

Any sugestions, reviews, comments will be greatly appreciated!

thank you in advance.

Re: Good Rhode Island Surveyor Needed!!

I know a bunch of surveyors in that area but hesitate recommending one before knowing what boat as some of the guys are more knowledgeable with certain makes/brands than others. No one surveyor can be expected to have experience with EVERY type boat.

Re: Good Rhode Island Surveyor Needed !

I asked the owner of the yard that services my boat who he would hire if he were buying a boat. He recommended Matt Jamison of Island Marine Surveying in Jamestown, RI.

Call Paul Shaw at Noreastgypsy.com. I haven't used him but know many people that have and they were very happy.

Thanks for the recomendations so far.

The boat is a fiberglass, balsa corred, sloop built in the 80's.

Has anyone around here used Gene Barnes?
