Dry Bag Backpack Reviews

Does anyone have any experience/reviews of the various dry bag backpacks on the market? I'm looking for one in the 30L to 50L size and need it to be truly "dry" not just showerproof.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Dry Bag Backpack Reviews

Sea to summit aren’t bad and they’re more ‘green’ than pvc but I find their backed nylon tears more readily. Try Winnipeg Outfitters in Canada, they have relatively cheap reinforced pvc dry bag backpacks. North face make some as well but you can double the price. Also check MEC in Canada or REI in the states. Almost all will have a slatted roll top and buckles. Go bigger than you think you need as if you want to keep stuff dry you’re going to lose volume with an extra roll or two when closing to ensure a good seal. And no matter what brand you get almost all of these combo bags will never be as comfortable with a large load as a dedicated internal frame pack. Artyrex also makes a dry backpack but they tend to have a poor design and charge WAY too much for what you get ($400+ for a 60L compared to $60 elsewhere).
