Dickinson Newport *Propane* Chimney Temperature

I am interested in purchasing a Dickinson Newport Propane heater, and was wondering if anyone has one running and could take a temperature reading of the outside wall of the double-wall chimney an inch or two below where it exits through the deck*?

Thanks much!

*after it's been running for an hour or two

I will check on the boat tonight and let you know. It's not as hot as a regular exhaust chimney as the air intake cools the hot exhaust but it still gets hot.

Will advise

Re: Dickinson Newport *Propane* chimney temperature

Here are the temps of the heater and the chimney pipe after running 30 minutes with no fan. After 30 minutes the heater would reach its full heat output.

Top of pipe where it goes through the deck- 100F
Bottom of pipe connecting to heater- 185F
Top of heater- 200F
Hood vent- 400F (where most of the heat comes out when fan is on)
Window/Door- 500F (where most of the heat when fan is off)
Sides- 100F
Control knobs- 80F

Let me know if you have anymore questions.
