Not necessarily. Considering that they are in Florida, they might use Central American labor. I am currently in Guatemala
and am totally amazed at the high quality canvas work done here. In my case some cushions were made for me using materials I had brought from the states, intending to do the work myself. However the local canvas maker was working on the boat next door so I invited him over for a quote. I got all five cushions for my cockpit made, using my materials, for sixty dollars total. The excellent quality work, far better than I could have done myself, was completed in two days as quoted.
I don't know what the quote would have been with their materials, but I have been to the shop now and what I saw on the rack was brand name materials, I.e. Sunbrella, YKK, etc.
Since there are regular containers zipping back and forth from here to Miami
, that might be how they pull it off.
