Best Wi-Fi antenna

I did a search and nothing came up. So any recommendations or links to other threads would be appreciated.

Re: Best Wi-Fi antenna

There have been several threads in the last year or so. My search turned up these.

WiFi Antenna Comparison

Best marine WiFi antenna?

WIFI Reception

Wifi Booster for Bahamas & Caribbean?

'WiFi for Boats' System Package

What's your WiFi solution ?

WiFi Antenna vs ... my Phone?

Anyone mounting Bullet wifi antenna at masthead?

HINT. Search for wifi without the hyphen.

Re: Best Wi-Fi antenna

Thank you so much. I knew there were threads, and knew there was a reason the search didn't work!

Re: Best Wi-Fi antenna

I will give one piece of advice.. Contrary to what some of the threads say, DO NOT mount the antenna at your mast. You want the antenna adjustable as different onshore WIFI devices will have different beam patterns.

Sometimes I lower my antenna just one foot and the number of access point I see doubles. The number of points I see at my mast is ALWAYS way less than I see at about spreader height. The only time that top of the mast seems to help, is when doing extreme long range (over 5 miles) over clear water .
