Writer doing Research. Please Share Your Fears And Disasters At Sea.

Hey guys. I'm a writer, and I'm doing research for a project I'm working on. I'm also a sailor with a cruise equipped Cal 34 MK II.

I'd like to hear some of your stories about disasters, near disasters, or fears of disaster out cruising. I'm also interested to hear what your worst fears are when it comes to thinks like equipment failure, etc. In other words, what worries you most or perhaps has even kept you up at night at while out cruising? Water, food, breakdowns, getting lost, storms, giant fish, pirates, customs and officials, corrupt governments, relationship failures? What about bad situations brought on by transient crew? Jealousy, creepy people, etc.?

I think some of these stories would be entertaining and educational, but if you're not interested in posting and would still be willing to share your experiences with me, please send them by email. Thanks!

Yes I've been digging. No worries. Just thought that if nothing else, this would be any interesting thread with a bunch of stories all in one place.

I for one would like to hear more of the boring, nice passages instead of more collections of scare the crap out you and make you believe that every passage is full of fear.

Whats with the writing of fear as entertainment thing really about?
