Vessel Imagination Rescue off Miami Beach

MIAMI - The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Dolphin rescued four adults, one child and one infant from the sinking 65-foot vessel, Imagination, approximately 13 miles east of Miami Beach, Fla.

What a shame.... glad everyone is safe. Either a very big hole or multiple pump failures....

Tragedy is that it's too deep there to salvage....

I heard it was a raw water intake failure....it just filled up with water as they cruised along.

That would ruin the whole day

Glad all are safe...

In the first two photos it looks to still be floating quite high, as in "it's not too late". If it was going down that fast how did the CG get there so quickly?

I heard on the news they were in the area on another border-security mission and responded after getting the call on Ch. 16

The owner doesn't look too broken up about it. Fuel prices and all....

I think I read somewhere it was a charter vessel. Apparently had just undergone a refit to add the swim platform. Maybe it's that that failed. We'll have to wait and see.
