I have a competitor's hat made out of cotton that I picked up from REI on close-out sale. It wasn't price marked so they let me have it same price as the other hats I was purchasing: $11.95.

Afterwards I looked up the price on Internet and it was more expensive than any of the Tilley's hats. Yikes! I can't afford to replace it should I loose it, something I'm well known to do.

Anyhow, love the hat and am sold on using it as sun defense for all three weeks a year when the sun shows itself here.
