Re: Solar powered emergency watermaker

Really? or is this a crowd sourcing bid to raise fund to develop it. Advertising suggests 15 litres per day, makes the little Katadyn 40e appear to positively gush like a fountain.

Still interesting idea which might lead to further improvements and perhaps a smaller emergency unit for ocean travelling if the cost can be kept down.

15 litres a day would be heaven in a life raft. Compared with your hand squeeze device! Heck, 15 Oz a day would be great.

Re: Solar powered emergency watermaker

It would be a miracle product if it worked. Not sure there is any way to change the basic laws of physics and chemistry but hey, just being a skeptic here. If someone is really bored they could work out the thermodynamics of this gizmo and see if there is a hope in h*ll of it working. Nice touch having built in mobile connectivity. I'm truly wondering what that is about.
