Scanmar monitor help

[Subway Sailor]

So i left cape may this week with the intention of going hardcore all the way to new york. I figured id set up my windvane and try to get it going steady so i could take a nap while it went for a while.

Ok didn't work for more than 8 minutes at a time...but you can tell that the thing steers much straighter than me!!

So what is wrong?...i would go down below and then i'd feel the boat heel them turn around 8min...keep in mind, i understand i don't have cam cleats on my tiller... but still i don't understand this reaction. I understand boat must be well balanced...any tips would help
