I was broke down in Turtle Bay years ago when a 50' Hatteres pulled in and dropped the hook. I rowed over and asked to use his sideband to get some parts coming. I got invited to dinner & cocktails and got to watch a movie called
"The worlds first porno musical"
I laughed until I fell overboard!
They also had a bidet and a full size bathtub on board!
The radio worked so in about 3 days, I got a case of fuel filters sent to me so I could get to Newport - what a trip!

I moved to Canada 12 years ago. I'd lived in the USA before so I knew that a bidet was not a common household item. In Argentina, where I'm from, a bidet is considered a must for any home bathroom. There's even a product called "bidet náutico" (nautical bidet), which is basically a bracket, some pipe, and a handle that you attach to the toilet seat. It also has a hook-up for a regular faucet hose from the toilet water supply.

When you're done you move the arm (which is conveniently tucked away to the side, inside the toilet) and open the faucet. Wash before you wipe, my mom used to say.

I have two of those at home, which have been moving with me every time I moved. Installation is trivial. I have been wondering whether I would install one on the boat when we go cruising. I probably will install it but not use it until I know what our water consumption is and how easy it is to fill the water tanks. Or maybe not; I'm sure this is going to be buried deep down in the to-do list.

Unfortunately I did a quick Google search and can't find a link to the product. But if you go to Argentina you'll probably be able to get it at many neighborhood hardware stores

I think the vaccuflush has an attachment for a hose nozzle - otherwise buy a simple pushbutton hose nozzle and hook into the fresh water.

I loved the toilets in Japan! Electronic. when you were done you pushed the bidet button and got a wash... then you pushed the dry button and got a warm air dry!

Cheechako, my partner and I just got back from Japan. The toilets are amazing there!! They sing to you, welcome you to the toilet, flush for you do all the wiping! Ahhh Japan
