Re: Onboard Bidet

Nothing like a bidet to bring out toilet humour.
Having travelled in China, Korea, Japan I find that many better hotels have various toilet seat bidet adaptions which are very simple, compact and economical to use. Several women of my acquaintance consider them reasonably civilized. I intend to include these on own boat - not mandatory to use, not expensive or very energy consuming and probably just a small thing to entice the partner on board for longer trips. If you have not tried it then it probably seems over the top. I don't think them an unreasonable extra when the marine environment is challenging for damp nether regions. They would have installed easily in all the boats I have had from 26' to 41' without compromising space.

Re: Onboard Bidet

We have one of the 'add-on' bidets in one of our baths in the house. It is actually quite cool. The machine does use some small (1 pint) of fresh water...
It heats the water and has an electric pump to provide the spritz - I am considering installing one as it will definitely reduce the paper jams....

While it does heat the water, I don't think it's usable to prepare a cup of tea - not positive 'butt' I'm just saying.....

Re: Onboard Bidet

I had a deck hand who hung it out over the side one time when a big wave damned near washed him overboard - does that count as an on board bidet??

Re: Onboard Bidet

Big advantage to the dreadnaught design.... you can add a "rear sprit"... with a poop deck back there. Doesnt say much for "leave a clean wake" though! :>)
