I'm here in the U.S.

I've always thought that people who actually believe that do so because they have no idea what life in a supermax is like. That's the only condition in which such a conclusion is even faintly logical.

The only conditions under which it's reasonable to use a weapon are those conditions under which there isn't going to be a trial. Trials are single rolls of the dice with the highest possible stakes.

It's the laws about using a weapon that matter.

It may be legal (borderline, obviously or otherwise) to carry a weapon and ammo through a given country. But the minute you pull it out, rack the slide and blow someone off your boat, your fate is sealed, and you're going to be burned to death, Apache style. Europe's laws about killing people are, well, European. Ask Amanda Knox.

One of the most useless things in the world is a gun you can't use.

That's a funny comment , most cruisers want to stay on the right side of the host countries laws. , hence the concern over the legality or more correctly the bureaucracy of declaring firearms. Foxy Knoxy would have had less trouble had she borne that in mind before the "games" started.

Check this guy out. Three robbers with knives kick in his front door at 3 AM with malicious intent, and the rest is history. No gun required, only a crowbar and the right attitude! This is how it's done right here...

It was because I spoke logic to them in a calm, clear voice.

Or it could have been because I was stark naked and had a large gun in each hand.

Sure, nudity could be a factor in your favor. No one wants to wrestle a naked guy! Sure seemed to work for him.

Re: Mossberg 500 Mariner in the Med.

Some folks should never be unarmed. Other folks should never be armed.

And for a very few, it doesn't make a bit of difference.

"I know what you're thinking. You're thinking that because I don't have a weapon, I'm unarmed."
