We are retired and have been teaching ourselves to sail on area lakes. We have now trailered our boat to Panama
City and will be sailing the coast line to gain some experience on bigger water
. We have equipped the boat with chart plotter, radio
, life sling, flares, whistles, mirrors etc. We not have any type of life raft and really have no where to put one. We are thinking of towing one behind the boat but they are expensive but we like to be on the safe side. What are your thoughts? We will probably be within 3 miles of shore but that is a long swim and a lot of sharks.
We will be practicing our man overboard
procedures this weekend.
