Leather Sailing Glove Treatment

After wearing my new Gill fingerless gloves last weekend, I rinsed them off, then air dried. Is there a need to treat the leather section w/ mink oil or some type of leather treatment to keep them from cracking/chafing?

Re: Leather Sailing Glove Treatment

They only last a few years anyway. At least, my last pair did.

Re: Leather Sailing Glove Treatment

I go through 2 pair a season racing catamarans, but have found that they last longer if rinsed with fresh water, and hung to dry.......although some brands require I wet them again to get them back on.
