Re: Jacklines et al for Tanzer 22

We have a Tanzer 22 #1949 which we have owned from new (1981). I have two harness attachment ponts in the cockpit, one on each side of the companionway. I do not have lifelines. I have self-installed midship cleats near the jib winches on each side of the companionway and webbing from one around the mast with a clove hitch and back to the other. I have two harness/inflatable PFDs; one for me, and one for my wife. So far, so good. Just don't sit on the big cleat on the foredeck when pulling down the jib in a thunderstorm. It will hurt for a couple of weeks.

The bigger risk is flooding the boat in a knock down with the compainonway boards out. We have done it a few times, but were been able to pump it out.

Try https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/tanzer/info for information specific to a Tanzer 22.

You have a great boat. We retired in 2004 and bought a Pacific Seacraft 34 which we live aboard 5 months out of the year. Irish Eyes to the Bahamas
