Hi Gord,

Thanks for the good,useful information. It seems to me the "Tazer" is the next best thing to the "Star Trek" crew's phaser.Maybe it will be coming out next? The ability to temporarily disable a criminal from a distance is a very desirable feature to me.Of course I'll have to practice up on my knots before I take off cruising in order to secure the rogue once I have him immobilized

I was flipping through the pages of my latest Yachting world last night and low and behold, an article on boat security. Wouldn't ya know it, it seems a company is making electric fences for boats. They had a link. www.secure-marine.com
