Re: Ghost ship possibly found

American government won't release high res photo? Maybe cause shut down? Man, who do I need to write to raise some cane? Gosh it sure would be great to have a good ending to this, or even just closure for the family. The Nina search site tomnod does not have the potential sighting up.
Anyways, thanks for posting

Amazing that all your posts seem so negative. Why not just grace another thread you can actually contribute to?

All these posts point towards pleading for cash. Have you seen the FB page? That's one of the reasons the previous threads were closed.
And you are flaming me.
Get real the Nina was lost because of poor decisions by the skipper. Of course we would all like to find them safe and sound, but do you really believe there is any chance of that ?

Actually, nobody knows why or how the boat disappeared.

What we do know is that she was sailing in heavy conditions and has not made port.

Bazzer, even if you don't want us to, some of us will be concerned about your welfare should you ever get in difficulty. We are just weak, I guess.

I'm just about to sail out of the USA for six months. Hopefully I'll make the right decisions for me and my crew. But I'm setting out in a solid boat in a good weather window.
I certainly don't need anyone's concern from here

Lost track of how many rescued crews I've heard THAT from. Good luck and safe passage. If you stop thru Bermuda, give me a shout.

You will probably be fine doing Coastal cruising with the Ha ha. Hardly what Nina's adventures had been. Going offshore is a whole different game. No port to duck into.

Yep you are right. I never sail out of sight of land and never at night. If visibility get bad I hold up a picture of land so I don't feel lost. What's the ocean? In sixty years of sailing I've never left the lake.
Truthfully I would bet I've rowed a boat more miles than you have sailed, so your advice is not heeded

What's a rowed a boat?
Kidding. Let's just hope. If you don't want to hope then look at fuzzy pictures and imagine. If you can't imagine then what's the point.
Enjoy.
