Friend of mine is using his Leatherman TTi the same way, and he's says that it's totally awesome - no more toolboxes in his life. Obviously there are moments when you need half-inch wrench or a 6lbs hammer... but generally I do everything with my multi tool - and it's enough... and it's not wearing any signs of use after years of heavy servitude...

Happy that youy are happy with your experience, but to say that it is an exaggeration that no multitool can replace real tool... simply does not work.

I agree with um saudade that a multi tool is a small version of a "real tool" and a compromise some people find worthwhile. They are different purpose tools. I personally have "regifted" multitools because I don't care how well they stand up, I want power that a miniture tool cannot deliver. I'd rather carry a riggers knife and a big enough tool to get me back into the cockpit as fast as possible.
IMHO

I rock a rigging knife, a fid, and a set of crappy old pliers in the cockpit. Anything more complicated is in my army of toolbags.
