Ebola Fears in the Canary Islands

I thought this was interesting:

http://www.usatoday.com/videos/news/...4163823/<br />

"American Ebola patients now immune from disease
22 hours ago
They still have a long road to recovery, but if Dr. Kent Brantly and Nancy Writebol decide to resume their relief work with Ebola patients in Africa, they will no longer be able to contract or spread the deadly disease. They are now immune."

Maybe a vaccine is in the works?

Wonder if the looters were gloved and masked? As far as I'm concerned it's an airborne virus. YMMV

That is a very informative link and it is add odds with what has been stated in my local media.

The virus can also survive outside the body,
Quote:
SURVIVAL OUTSIDE HOST: The virus can survive in liquid or dried material for a number of days (23). Infectivity is found to be stable at room temperature or at 4°C for several days, and indefinitely stable at -70°C (6, 20). Infectivity can be preserved by lyophilisation.

The rest of the countries ought to quarantine the infected countries by cancelling all flights into and out of the infected countries until all the bodies have been buried.
