Dont go in the water!

.... or maybe you should.... just heard the other day that you are statistically 27 times more likely to be killed by that aggressive beast known as a ...."cow" than a shark!

Re: Dont go in the water!

Aside from sharks it seems that having bovine crew must be dangerous. Accordingly I shall not go to sea with cows.

Yes..... they graze around looking non-chalant... but watch out... they are eyeing you!

Is this another red meat rant? And by any chance was this study done in Pamplona? Have you run these statistics by the people in Goa?

Re: Dont go in the water!

They are sneaky devils. They even have their own campaign - Cow Campaign - Eat Mor Chikin | Chick-fil-A

Not to mention, cows have appeared on youtube while disrupting major sporting events-

Don't underestimate cows. Best to eat THEM, before they eat YOU.

Yeah, that species of Bovine known as the "Mother-In-Law" can be pretty dang vicious, & or dangerous. Let alone if one is unwise enough to get trapped in a small space, such as a boat with one.
I'd say, at a minimum, wear some Kevlar groin protection, that & be Real careful with the wallet now that I think on it.

How many sailors, or even landlubbers, are killed by cows every year?
Bulls perhaps, if you run with them, or refuse to run. Whatever.
Meh thinks more people are killed from eating hamburgers and steaks too frequently, than are killed by being attacked or eaten by cows..?

Re: Dont go in the water!

More people are killed by bees than sharks every year. Allergies can sure suck.
More people are killed by pigs than sharks too, but pigs aren't as scary looking and definately taste better, so I guess have better PR.

Re: Dont go in the water!

Now I am worried. I had planned a cruise but if cows and pigs are lurking how can I be sure it'ssafe to anchor for the night. I can see it now being boarded by a stampede.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention:
During 2003--2007, deaths occurring in the production of crops and animals in the United States totalled 2,334; of these, 108 (5%) involved cattle as either the primary or secondary cause.
