Re: DeLorme inReach SE

Two of my clients use them and we are very happy. I am trying to persuade one other to go for it after their Spot contract expires. The reason is we had very patchy coverage from Spot. That was open water sailing. Not an issue to you if you are continental.

Strong point of DeLorme is you can send smss from anywhere.

The subscription plans aren't that much cheaper than Iridium subscriptions.

Really?

I think I have seen some very reasonable plans.

Or do you mean Iridium Yellowbrick plans?

InReach
Iridium Airtime Rates - Airtime

Please expand on your post. I am most interested as we use DeLorme, Yellowbrick and Spot in our projects.

Eric... about half as much for the occasional user from my research. I don't NEED voice commo (retired remember) but the wife (not retired) gets antsy if she doesnt hear from me every day while I'm off sailing.
