Question Brazil Security

Dear all, I am new here
so here my first question.
Would like to go sailing wz my family for a week in Brazil near Angra dos Reis/Ilha Grande. I was wonderng, since the crime rate is quite high in Brazil, if it is reasonable safe to anchor over night in this area with regards to robbery / piracy.
Thanks beforehand,

Re: Brazil Security

Welcome to the Cruisers Forum.
We have just sailed (motored, wind is hard to find) around Angra.
If you lock your dinghy outboard & lock the dinghy when on land, at night our dinghy is on the davits, you should have no problem. We have been between Rio & Florinapolis for 3 month, very enjoyable!
