World cruising routes - 5th vs 6th edition

Hi there,

I'm currently planning a transatlantic voyage from Europe to the Caribbean. I've got "world voyage planner" by jimmy cornell, but found it to be more general info. The stuff you pretty much figure out on your own when reading forums/blogs, but then boiled down and combined in a handy book.

I'm now considering buying "world cruising routes" from the same author to help me with the practical planning of the voyage. Is it a very useful book for this? What sort of info is in there that would be of use for me?

And what are the big differences between the 5th edition (2002) and the 6th?

Re: World cruising routes - 5th vs 6th edition

I'll get hammered for this post as many will think its a difficult passage.

Sail to the Canaries. Leave Canaries and go to island of dreams in Caribbean.

Arrive Canaries in September, leave late November.
If no wind head south till you get some.

There is really no need for World Cruising Routes for that passage.
