Warning: Ray Marine E7d Bug

I had been planning on buying the Ray Marine E7d radar unit since last November. When I went in to West Marine to pick one up, the staff told me that just last week, a bug had been acknowledged that the touch screen had a serious problem that Ray Marine hadn't figured out how to fix yet. So if you own one, you might want to contact Ray Marine.
I know West Marine isn't selling any more until the units have been recalled and repaired, but I see there are plenty of on line vendors that may not know about the problem and are still selling them.
The next step up is 400.00 more which is unfortunate, because I want to get Ray Marine to interface with my other instruments.

Re: Warning: Ray Marine E7d Bug

Are you referring to the touch screen alignment issue. There is a temp workaround and also Ray will replace the e7 if you wish

It's not specific to the radar package its a e7 fault

I'd buy it and see if its a problem and then get ray to replace it
