Vision

I have tried to search for info on this , but no luck.
Question is.
Has anyone used G2 Vision cards form Garmin?
Is it worth purchasing?
There is a good rebate going on right now.
Thanks

CD,

Try the Google search in the small "Search" pull-down window in the nav bar under the "welcome".

Cdavid: the G2 Vision Cards are a mixed blessing. They add nothing to the nautical data preloaded on current garmin chartplotters. Everything you need for safe navigation is there. G2 Vision adds a very large number of photos of marinas and other key locations, along with a useful database of services, telephones, etc, beyond what you have in the out of the box unit. It adds a three dimensional view that is pretty interesting, especially in water with rocks and steep changes in depth, but pretty boring in a shallow bay. And it provides the ability to create a route from point A to Point B without encountering certain navigation hazard like parking lots and breakwaters. Albeit there are some teething issues with that planning features.

For a number of in depth discussions go to www dot thehulltruth dot com and do a search on G2 Vision.
