Thumbs up Virtual Voyage caught on web cam

Following a 70' Johnson motoryacht on it's journey down the ICW.

sandBARhopper

The live web camera mounted on the helm is cool (refreshes about every 20 seconds). Departed Annapolis late this morning on his way to Norfolk.

I considered doing that from the research vessel....the downside was having "Big Brother" (the bosses boss) watching everything that was happening on the afterdeck.

It will be bad enough when we get the AIS transceiver working and he can see exactly where we are by going to the internet. :O

Being able to track your boat by satellite & Google Earth (maps) etc. does have it's advantages especially when someone steals your boat!

That's pretty cool--Google satellite & maps with a webcam. Looks like SandBARhopper is anchored in the Big Annemessex right now. I've anchored in that exact same spot before. Nice anchorage; no traffic whatsoever there.
