Tide app

I had a great tide app that was lost in a crash. I think the name was Scarp or something like that. It was free. Can't find it anywhere. The apps I can find for free don't come close to it. I'm in Nova Scotia and some of the apps I've tested only have halifax listed.

Have you heard and know how to get Scarp or can you recommend a good free or low priced app.

Thanks
Phil

Scarp Tides updated daily. Detailed forecast tide charts and tables with past and future low and high tide times.

Try this.

Re: Tide app

Oops sorry, wrong reference. Anyway I use Tides Near Me from Apple App Store that has tides throughout the world. Has numerous tides references for Nova Scotia.

Re: Tide app

Were you thinking of Shralp Tide?

If not, a good alternative is Ayetides but it costs about $8 in the itunes store. It's been great for me but I'm not sure what the Nova Scotia station coverage is like. Also, as a backup, when I use the ipad up on deck I run Navionics and that shows tidal information too...not sure if you have any nav apps that would dual purpose as a tide app for you too.

Re: Tide app

SHRALP tide is free.
It uses predicted tide info not actual.
It's graph tool is slick to view tide for a known ETA.

Did a quick search and it did not list Halifax. Maybe an email to developer would add it??

I find it good enough for most applications, but not so accurate when trying to squeeze in one more short haul in a shallow hauling pit...

Re: Tide app

What tidal stations in Nova Scotia are you looking for?

I found these stations in this boating app that I have. I've attached a screenshot here for you.

Re: Tide app

We use the tides feature in Navionics.
In the app just follow these steps (you can download the app for free)

From the chart Click Menu and the Menu will appear on the left:

Click Weather and Tides and a popup appears with locations. You can also add locations you'd like to get the tide information for:

Click the bottom left box (the tides) and the tides will appear at the bottom. You can scroll through it and check the tide at any time.
