Software Upgrade Problem

I have a Raymarine C120 that needs an upgrade to be able to accept a new 1GB Compact Flash card navionics chart. I obtained the upgrade from Raymarine as it is near impossible to obtain a cf card as per RM`s specs on the website. My unit has not seen an upgrade since 2005 but that should not be an issue. I have verified that the upgrade card they sent me is viable and I know the unit itself was operating fine with the old pre 2005, much smaller memory cf card chart so I feel the unit is functional...works fine as fishfinder still, reader works, gps feature works...but it wont accept the new upgrade!! any suggestions as the tech support just keeps doing a cut and paste reply from the website which is not answering my question...Why wont it accept the upgrade?
