SeaClear and NMEA Out to Tiller Pilot

Has anybody used this feature of seaclear? The connections are no problem and the Simrad TP32 will except nmea 0183 sentances so in theory all should be ok.
I'm wondering how the response is and if it under or oversteers

It is just different - maybe (my very wild guess) the pilot will not react to course changes but rather to the XTE deviation, with a secondary input from the course instrument (compass if yours is NMEA and connected too). If the COG were to substitute the compass course then you must allow for the fact that at low speed the COG from the GPS will be very inaccurate.

What does the Simrad instruction say? I remember for the wind mode it still uses the built-in compass.

Seaclear transmits both the heading and XTE...and the TP32 accepts bearing and XTE.... so I guess in theory it should work very well

edit: Seaclear also transmits BWC which is bearing and distance to waypoint... also BOD which is bearing, wayoint to waypoint
