Why do you insist it has to be Pro? Here: Windows 8 editions - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia they seem to say Win 8 will be equally capable.

Yeah, I didn't meant to leave out plain old 8, it's just easier to differentiate that way than saying 8.

Don't need to wait a week - windows 8 has been in use for a while. I've been using it for months and only one program I've tried to install hasn't worked (VMWare's VSphere client) and that has now been resolved with their latest version as well.

Yes. I might try the 90 day trial but perhaps we will just go right for the USD 40 upgrade!

Should anything not work, I can always roll back to XP.
