Re: Samsung Galaxy S II and Oruxmaps

PocketCloud Explore is an excellent app for moving files around all your computers within your local wi-fi range.

You can also use the SHARE facility in your smartphone to send/print/mail your files,or store them quickly on your Google cloud drive for later access.

A very handy tool...

Re: Samsung Galaxy S II and Oruxmaps

After a long search among dozens of apps,I have FINALLY found a great app+desktop controller
to be able to give full control to my laptop/PC to run all the apps on my Galaxy with a display around four times larger than the Galaxy or even full screen. I can use the keyboard and the mouse. Works perfectly,I have tested most of my installed apps.

This is really an extension of an old facility to remotely control PC´s for technical assistance etc where a smartphone also now is accepted as ´a PC´.

NON COMMERCIAL USE IS FREE !!! I suppose they will cut the connection if you use it for any commercial purpose. But business owners also have a private life I guess...

You download a PC based server as well as a smartphone app which gives the key and connection permission. Easy to use...

This is a really great companion for ORUXMAPS which can now also be run from your laptop/PC, with a proper size screen, keyboard and mouse. I have tested it out and all the functions of OruxMaps are working perfectly!

You´ll find it all here: www.teamviewer.com

Re: Samsung Galaxy S II and Oruxmaps

Just to repeat a little... I now have the following stable and excellent utilities for my Android Galaxy S II which cover all my needs..

1. PocketCloud app to execute/display ANY program located on my PC/laptop.

2. PocketCloud Explore to handle all file transfers between PC/laptop and my smartphone where I also have a 10GB ´cloud drive´

3. TeamViewer Quicksupport app. access key on my smartphone together with TeamViewer Desktop on my PC setting up a PERFECT access/control of my smartphone from either my PC or laptop. Very efficient and easy to use!

Re: Samsung Galaxy S II and Oruxmaps

Together with SpotWalla I have recently hosted the annual 100 boat regatta from Recife-Brazil to the Atlantic island group of Fernando de Norhona.
http://yachtmarine.com/REFENO/REFENO-2.html

I also used the OpenCPN compatible qtVlm Route Optimizer to aid the regatta participants. I have attached a few screenshots using an imported .kml file of the return Track 18 October with OruxMaps.
