running multiple programmes needing GPS

I had a problem in that I needed three seperate feeds for GPS on my laptop to provide data for different programmes . I started off with two seperate inputs, (Chart + AIS ) but then wanted to feed another programme as well (planning) .

I have located a piece of software that takes a single GPS feed, then creates virtual serial ports. If you configure the different programmes to different virtual ports, they all work simultaneously.

One happy bunny

http://franson.com/gpsgate/ it even has a free 14 day trial!
