Yep, back up into the 30's. That is why you don't plan the window from the VI's - rather go to ABC's and catch a window. Or wait until later in the year.

Yes, NOAA forecast for the Colombian Basin shows current gales easing to 20-25 in 3-4 days.... hopefully they remain moderate for up to a week which will coincide with our passage...

I think 20-25 is a good weather window for the trip. We would sail and see 30-45 knots all the time, which was still just fine for a down wind passage.

Did St Martin to Colon direct... worst was 30kts but as said... downwind so no sweat.. had been told to stay at least 100miles off Columbia but as it turned out when we got there it was a pussy cat..
