Route Advice
I am piloting a newly purchased 75' motoryacht from Tampa to Mobile in May to begin the journey north up the Tenn-Tom to the the Tennessee river. I am an experienced river and lake boater but have little experience on the ocean. The boat is equipped with radar and Loran but no chartplotter or GPS. I am looking for advice as to the best route to take from Tampa to Mobile and the best times in May for the calmest seas. Thank you!
