Raymarine SL72 radar: wireless broadcast to tablet?

I have a venerable SL72 radar, with its screen installed down below at the navigation table - obviously not very comfortable when singlehanding.

Is there a way to duplicate the radar screen and forward the image to a tablet with opencpn?

Not possible with the SL70 series. You can try to get an RL70 radar, then find an HSB to USB converter (really hard to find these days) then wire this into a Windows tablet and run RayTech Navigator to interpret the radar image. I am not sure if it would be possible to the wireless at all. It is probably not worth the trouble in 2019. You will be missing AIS overlay, 3D charts and other goodies. Better to sell your Pathfinder and the radar dome and go to an Axiom + Quantum or you can just move the SL70 to the cockpit.

Thank you, I'll move it t the cockpit for the time being... It's a good radar, I'd feel sorry to see it go.
